We continue to make good progress with the building. We have all of our engineers on board (Landscape, photometric, traffic and civil) and all of the additional survey work that had to be done (topo and water extension) has been completed. We also have the first scheme for the interior and the exterior completed by the architect (Lee Architects). We have currently met with five general contractors and will be making a selection within the next month.
We have been informed by the town that we will be required to re-plat the property but it will not be a typical plat. There will be no fee associated with it and will be completed during the use by special review process. We still do not have answers in regards to road improvements or the future cost related to the overpass but will get that information during the review process as well. The town will use our TIS (Traffic Impact Study) to determine those costs.
The plan right now is to have everything completed for the use by special review application by early next week. We will have a submittal meeting with them and that will start the seven week review process by the town. Not included in that will be the work that we will need to do to make corrections to the red lines they will have for us on their reviews.
We continue to move forward in all phases of the project (due diligence with the town and on the building, architectural, engineering, site planning, pre-construction and financing)

1. What are some of your favorite Christmas carols? Why?
2. Parts of the Gospel are presented so clearly through the verses of these carols. As a group, recite some or parts of those verses.
3. We are in Week 2 of our Christmas series, “Tags” based on Isaiah 9:6. Read this verse again that was written 700 years before Jesus was born. On first reading, which “tag” or name of Jesus speaks to you the most?
4. Read Isaiah 7:14, John 1:1 and Philippians 2:6-7.
Then read this quote from Wayne Grudem:
Only someone who is infinite God could bear the full penalty for all the sins of all those who would believe in him - any finite creature would have been incapable of bearing that penalty; salvation is from the Lord, and the whole message of Scripture is designed to show that no human being, no creature, could ever save man - only God himself could; and only someone who was truly and fully God could be the one mediator between God and man, both to bring us back to God and also to reveal God most fully to us.
These verses all describe the theological truth of the Incarnation: Mighty God became human.
What are some implications for the experience of our faith and the defense of our faith?
5. The Four “Gifts” of the Incarnation talked about were:
a. I Can Know God’s Perfect Character
b. I Can Receive God’s Complete Forgiveness
c. I Can Experience God’s Loving Friendship
d. I Can Encounter God’s Transforming Power
How have you come to appreciate these “gifts”? How has life been different because of these “gifts”?
6. Read Romans 8:29, Romans 12:2 and Philippians 1:6. These verses are meant to be encouraging to Christ-followers. Reflect and share with one another how you have been and are being transformed. If you know one another well, share how you have seen God’s transforming work in each other.
7. Spend time praying for one another and for those on your “list” who have yet to come to know Jesus - our Mighty God!

2. We began this year’s Christmas series, “Tags”. This series is based on a famous verse found in Isaiah 9:6 that was written 700 years or so before Jesus was born. Read this verse and write down the 4 names that Isaiah said would describe Jesus.
3. Read the following verses: John 14:16-20; John 16:7-15 and write you’re your thoughts or share them with your group.
4. When Jesus left the earth, He sent his Spirit (The Holy Spirit) to continue as our Wonderful Counselor. How do we receive this guidance, advice and counsel?
5. God speaks to us different ways but most can be grouped into these 4 categories.

6. Read these verses: Matthew 18:20; Luke 5:31-32; Isa 61:1 and write you’re your thoughts or share them with your group.
7. Take some time today (this week) to get alone with God and practice listening to Him. Begin by finding a quiet spot and quieting your heart. Once you are in that place ask God these three questions…then listen & write down His responses.
Be sure to share with your group or with a loved one what God said to you.
8. Conclude your Journey Group or time of personal reflection asking God to use our Christmas Series to help you get to know God better.
